Lektr is a keyboard with a built-in camera and mic. Set your iPhone or iPad in the charging cradle, point it at the board, and capture the lecture while you take notes.
The keyboard's built-in camera and mic record the lecture while you type or use Apple Pencil on your iPad. Every slide, diagram, and equation is captured automatically.
Every note you type or write is timestamp-linked to the exact moment in the recording. Tap any note and the lecture jumps to that second — slide, audio, and your notes all together.
Your notes are automatically organized by topic, tagged by concept, and grouped into study decks — ready to share with classmates. Search for any term and Lektr returns your notes linked to the exact lecture moment.
Uses nomic-embed-text via Mneme or Ollama with prefixes for search optimization.
Encrypts transcripts and slide text at rest, keeping vectors readable for similarity search.
Guarantees speech segments are permanently bound to the visual frame active during duration.
Runs perceptual image hash comparison to keep only distinct slide/board states.
